Porto Palace stands on 26is Oktovriou Street, by the commercial port on the western side of Thessaloniki, in a historic industrial building dating back to 1913. Today it is a 175-room hotel and one of the largest conference venues in Northern Greece: its Grand Pietra Hall is described as the largest hotel event hall in the region, with room for up to 2,500 guests, alongside a series of smaller halls. Guests also enjoy the Zaytinya restaurant, the P-Bar, the Ursa Minor rooftop bar with views over the city and the port in summer, a spa and a gym.

The airport lies on the opposite, eastern side of Thessaloniki, so this is a cross-city transfer – the route summary at the top of this page shows the exact distance and the usual driving time. Allow a little extra on weekday rush hours and during big events and conferences in the city.

For your return to the airport, your driver waits for you at the same main entrance at the time you have booked. You receive the driver’s name, phone number and vehicle details before your transfer.

There are two ways across the city, and your driver chooses the faster one depending on the traffic at the time: through the city along the main avenues, or via the Thessaloniki ring road (Peripheral Road), which bypasses the centre at busy hours. There are no tolls on either route, and your fixed price stays the same whatever the traffic.
