Thessaloniki Airport to The Met Hotel Private Transfers

The Met Hotel opened in 2009 at 26is Oktovriou Street 48, on the western side of the city’s waterfront, opposite the Port of Thessaloniki. A member of Design Hotels and part of the Chandris Hotels group, it is known for its contemporary architecture by Zeppos – Georgiadi + Associates, an art collection that runs through its public spaces, a rooftop pool with views over the Thermaic Gulf, the M’SPA with a heated indoor pool, and 13 meeting and event rooms.

The airport lies on the opposite, eastern side of Thessaloniki, so this is a cross-city transfer – the route summary at the top of this page shows the exact distance and the usual driving time. Allow a little extra on weekday rush hours and during big events and conferences in the city.

Your driver drives up the hotel’s ramp and stops right outside the lobby, so you step out a few steps from reception, and helps you with your luggage to the door.

For your return to the airport, your driver waits for you at the same ramp outside the lobby at the time you have booked. You receive the driver’s name, phone number and vehicle details before your transfer.

There are two ways across the city, and your driver chooses the faster one depending on the traffic at the time: through the city along the main avenues, or via the Thessaloniki ring road (Peripheral Road), which bypasses the centre at busy hours. There are no tolls on either route, and your fixed price stays the same whatever the traffic.

The Met sits on the western side of Thessaloniki, between the historic centre and the business and industrial areas of Kalochori and Sindos – a convenient base for business trips.
